Feeling ready to get out of the boat? Submitting an article is simple using the links below. (Note that submission method two is still experimental, it may not work in all situations!) We use Microsoft Word to produce the articles; however, your submission can be in any text document format.
While we encourage the pursuit of excellence, we honor the first baby steps too. Your article development will be supported with careful editing and advice.
We welcome original articles from all believers regardless of denominational background on any topic consistent with the theme of The Shy Preacher web site, "Jesus, His Church, His People". They can be lighthearted or serious. They can include personal expressions of the Gospel Message, Christian Testimonies, verse by verse analysis of a sections of scripture, discussions of lifestyle issues or social commentary. We would also be interested in articles respectfully submitted from the Seeker's point of view. Interested in writing an article but stumped for an idea for a topic? We will work with you to find the perfect idea for your perspective and personality.
All articles should be written in such a way that glorifies God and respects the dignity of the reader. Ideas may be challenging, but expressions should never be rude. Use 2 Peter 1:5-8 and 1 Corinthians 13 as guides. Articles that are racist, sexist. derogatory, promote violence or advocate criminal activity will not be accepted for posting. Political commentary that supports or denounces a specific candidate should be avoided. Articles comparing religions should be particularly well researched and very carefully constructed. They should not have a "My god can beat up your god" feel to them.
Send you article as an attachment to an e-mail message to submissions@theshypeacher.org. Use the title of your article as the subject line. A brief description of you article should be included in the body of the e-mail.
